Discovery believes children are a gift from the Lord (Psa. 127:3). We have formed our ministry on Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” The Discovery Children’s Ministry Team wants to work with your family to teach your child about God and His love! We encourage all children to take part in the musical portion of our weekly celebrations on both Saturday evening and Sunday morning, after which, they will be dismissed to enjoy classes just for them.

Please do not send your child to Children’s Discovery if they are ill or have any of the following symptoms: Fever greater than 100, colored runny nose, questionable rash, diarrhea, impetigo, chickenpox, measles, mumps or conjunctivitis (pink eye).

If your child is being treated with antibiotics, he or she should be on the drug at least 24 hours before attending Children’s Discovery.

For students, Discovery offers a discipleship experience just for them. Discovery does its best to provide a genuine and accepting atmosphere, where young people can learn, have fun and be challenged in their faith. Students are encouraged to join in at group meetings during our weekly Saturday night celebrations (dismissal after music). On Wednesday nights at 7:00-8:30pm, our student ministry also partners with Blue Ridge Christian Church (2400 Blue Ridge Rd, Columbia, MO 65202) for a full blown youth worship service with games, music and a challenging message. In addition there are special service projects and events throughout the year.  It’s a great time learning and growing what it means to walk as a follower of Christ.

Discovery operates with a cell group structure. Our cell groups or “D-groups” are the heart of Discovery. Various groups meet in various locations throughout the week. A cell group is simply a small weekly gathering. This meeting enables believers to grow in relationship with god through study of His Word. It also facilitates the growth of relationship with other believers in this intimate setting. The D group is also the platform for first person evangelism, offering a smaller, less intimidating introduction into Christianity for seekers.

Cells bring life, reach out to the community, build relationships and…cells are FUN!

Discovery’s D-groups exist for community, discipleship and evangelism with an eye toward  Kingdom growth. Check out the D Group Directory on the resources page to find your group!
