It is a sad fact that to many people in our day, have been hurt by the church. They have lost self-confidence, and feel angry & fearful.Eventually, they become withdrawn & reserved.
A question at this point is this. What is the church for?
With people spending so much time by themselves, and becoming more withdrawn, it become obvious how much they need those in the Church it become apparent how much they need the church. They think they can do life by themselves, but they are 100% WRONG.Why do we need other Christians in our lives?
We Were Not Created To Be Alone
A careful look at Gods Word and we see/we hear God say its not good to be alone.Soon after God created Adam, He created Eve.Since the Garden of Eden, God has made sure that there have been people around us so we wouldnt have to do life by ourselves.
When we are alone, we are more apt to sin, become lonely and discouraged. When we work around others, we see the opposite effect.Eccl. 4:9-10Its better to have a partner than go it alone. Share the work, share the wealth. And if one falls down, the other helps, but if theres no one to help, tough!God created His church so that we wouldnt have to do the journey by ourselves.
The Church is All of Gods Glory
Whether we have been hurt by the church or become angry at the church it becomes obvious we are only thinking of ourselves. The church is not about us but always about Him no matter what happens. The church is not about what I thought about the sermon, worship songs seeing friends, or that special person I have my eye on.These thought are important but pale as the reason we attend church — going to church will always be about God.
No One is Perfect
The church is made up of people just like you/me.And everyone of us have at one time ore another messed up none of us are perfect we are all humans.May we know everyone in the church is a part of the church pastors leaders greeters kids– all with our faults our job as Christians is not to judge but to love them.
I for one would not be what I am without the support of the church, and people who believed in me.That is why it is so important to get involved so we can grow into the Christians God created us to be.

The two biggest lies
Our culture believes
Today are that we are
Good people and
That, because God is
loving, he will
Not punish sin.
This weekend, we will finish Colossians 2:11-151When you came to Christ, you were circumcised, but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcisionthe cutting away of your sinful nature.[a]12For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.
13You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins.14He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.15In this way, he disarmed[b]the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.
